New Electrolytic Filter Capacitors
Breathe new life into your organ and get rid of poor bass and excessive noise and hum. Replacing electrolytic capacitors is essentially a mandatory service nowadays with the original components being so long past their expected lifespan. When the power supply is in poor shape, everything else after it suffers.
Silicon Rectifier Safety Mod
Most combo organ models from the 1960s including Farfisa Compact and Vox utilized selenium rectifiers in the power supply. When these fail, they can sometimes produce a nasty smelling gas. We always recommend replacing them with new silicon type rectifiers.
Grounded 3-Conductor Power Cable Mod
Loose that antiquated two-conductor power cable for a brand new grounded one that has been re-wired to modern electrical standards. We can do a standard 12' cable, IEC connector, or detachable in-line IEC depending your needs and the instrument model.
Output Mod (1/4" Jack)
There are many organs that came from the factory with a long hard-wired output cable. These are often subject to a lot of abuse and become a source of intermittent sound or no sound. Many times we can eliminate these cables by installing a 1/4" jack to save space make your portable organ even more portable! If a chassis-mounted jack is not possible we can do an in-line one instead. Combined with the power cable mod you will have a truly road ready instrument.
